Baby SKIL

Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at the early hours around 5:00am (Saudi time) my brother have informed me from Philippines na sumasakit na ang tiyan ng aking loving wife. Kahit na super aga sa Saudi ay biglang gising ang aking diwa. I'd called them immediately to confirm what is going on. Of course from my side, I was very excited and worried about my wife. This is my first baby which is one of the best gift awarded to us from our almighty God. At 5:00am Saudi time and to be exact 10:00am Philippine time tumawag agad ako sa pinas at ang mother ko ang sumagot ng phone and she asked me “WHY?”… syempre medyo na-confused ako about her question… dahil that time, I expected her to congratulate me… but definitely I asked her about my wife condition… and so many worried questions ang nasabi ko sa kanya, such as… how’s my wife, is she okay? Are you now on the way to hospital? Did you inform the doctor… so on and so forth… syempre being father lalo na’t first baby, very excited ako… dahil I trusted them as well as my parents to assist her dahil malayo nga ako sa wife ko… I just relaxed and wait from their news… syempre that time I was preparing to go to the office kaya habang naliligo ako, tuliro pa rin ang isip ko… nalimutan ko na rin yatang magsabon non (hehehe!) joke lang… but first thing in the office I called them again at nasa delivery room na nga raw ang aking loving wife… kaya mas naging excited ako… and when I was sitting in my office.. parang lutang pa rin ang isip ko… while waiting the news from Philippines… And to make the long story short… my baby was delivered around 1:00pm phil time… kaya doon ko naramdaman na “daddy na ako!!!” and here is her picture when she was 1-2hours old, sent via MMS… ang cute diba, halos kahawig ng daddy… walang kokotra dyan dahil sariling post ko ito… hehehe…

That time, nung na-received ko ang picture ng aking angel… I informed all addiks na daddy na ako and give explanation why the SKIL abbreviation has been given to my daughter… kasi po her name is SOFIA KHATE I. LAXAMANA… which is the abbreviation is “SKIL”… na puno ng skill, talent, and wisdom… the name SOFIA which is biblical name means “wisdom”… Sabi nga ni Dante, the name is very significance… pero sa totoo lang nakuha ko lang yung word na SKIL nung i-inform ko na sila kung ano ang name ng angel ko… napakasaya pala talaga kapag naging daddy ka na and I consider us as family… nananabik na nga akong yakapin at halikan ang aking angel, but for the mean time hanggang dream lang muna iyon dahil malayo nga ako sa kanya. I keep on praying na maging healthy sya at maka-recover din agad ang wife ko from her operation… everytime na tumatawag ako, naririnig ko ang pagiyak ng baby ko… pero medyo nagaalala din ako sa wife ko dahil sabi nya sa gabi daw gising si baby Sofia at sa araw naman daw tulog… kaya sobra ang paga-adjust ng aking asawa sa kanyang pagtulog...

So, lahat ng blessings na dumating sa aming magasawa… We thank you Lord.
